Challenge/Lesson ~ King of Fire ~ The Chieftain

Getting your message across is the challenge and indeed a theme seen in this past life. How are you to convey your words of wisdom and not be looked at like you are crazy. Mutual understanding in all kinds of relationships is a rare thing for you.
Idle conversation with associates or strangers has you a bit frustrated as well. When you are not sounding 'crazy' to them, what you are saying is going right over their heads. They just don't get it. Then there are those few times when they just do not want to get it. But, you are a 'teacher' and as hard as it is sometimes, you have your passions and that keeps you going. Taking a break now and then is good for your spirit. If you don't have one, find a place away from others where you can find that connection with the spirit beings and your power animals. They have much to teach you that your are to pass along. Be it one person with deep intensity, or be it a small social group, or be it a message to the masses. Overcoming what ever fears you harbor and the detrimental side to your ego will be the most challenging but not impossible. Life is limitless when one can be in balance and not let the ego and fears run things all the time.

You had such confidence in your past life that how could possibly have another life time like that?
Now having this confidence by no means that life was without struggle, it was how you handled the struggles, your attitude towards them and how you worked around them. You did not let these things stand in your way. Chieftain says you can have that power again, as it was then.

Heart ~ 8 of Air ~ The Caged Bird

This card is asking me, what are you holding back?

Have you been hurt so many times in so many ways that you are utterly afraid of opening the cage and letting your heart out?

This is an intense card in this placement. There is an element of being captive and that of being free. This card is expressing courage and strength through love. This is liberation of the spirit and soul.

Love is not easy by any means. You know what people do, they do not know what they are doing, they are so far from understanding what real love is. Have compassion for them.

The card is telling you, learn how to love unconditionally and not have it hurt you.

You have lived through the bad, have survived to become a much wiser person. With all you have been given and the lack of appreciation in return, it's old news to you, it is all poop on the newspaper. Throw it out.

At this point there is nothing that anyone can pull on you that you are not going to see a mile away.

You can save yourself different aches and pains of the heart by having established boundaries drawn between you and others, others as individuals and others of a group/type. There are times when you need to shield your heart and that is done with the mind, the attitude and the approach.

Soul ~ I Cunning Man ~ Magical Spirit

This card reflects the nature of your being in the past life, your creative ways of coping with a bad hand of cards and coming out smelling like a rose, bluffing till the end and putting on a face no one can read, or is the one you want them to read. All the smart and crafty ways seen in several of the above cards are summed up in this single card. This is a Magi, the alchemist.

And what does the alchemist do? They create transmutations, as in lead into gold, negative into positive.

He has all the tools and can put them to work to create what ever it is that he wants.

You have all the tools you need to create and connect.
Dance your dance you are who you are. Nothing about the pure and true you is out of place. However, as seen in some of the cards above, there are a few obstacles to over come.

Then, freedom and liberation is yours.

Sacrifice ~ 8 of Fire ~ Illness

Not getting your soul and spirit in balance lends to illness. We saw this in the Wild Harvest card.

There is a power within you, an energy that is not flowing as it should, if not flowing at all.

This again takes us back to the theme of suppression. The energy is not flowing as it is meant to and must find other outlets. These outlets are not always healthy physically.

This also takes back to the theme of balance, getting that energy flowing as it should will be a transmutation of the self. Learn to heal yourself, heal the parts that give you pain and you will be working the tools that you have. When you have healed yourself you then know that you have corrected the flow of energy.

Do you have stomach problems? I'm getting that your Third Chakra is in need of attention.

Hidden Influence ~ 9 of Water ~ Waterfall -R-

This is a card of cleansing; washing away all that has built up and squirting out in the wrong directions.

It is an energy generator when on course.

This is also about faith, just going for it and allowing you to trust yourself and the Universe.

Often times you are fighting against the direction that you are supposed to be going in.

Again, what are you holding back, are you resisting? What dream have you not supported yourself in? What have you wanted to do, but it just seems there would never be a way for you to do it.

Remove these concepts and thoughts and let yourself run wild.

Go exploring into the realms of your feelings. Find what is useful and what is not and wash it away.

Do you have fish tanks or better yet a water fountain? Here is where you are to focus your meditations in this lifetime, as you did in the past with the sacred places of the land.

Water is your conduit in this lifetime. It is one of your main tools.

Do you see orbs at all? Do you have wind chimes? You need some chimes or bells around you and your space, in places where they will jingle. Put bells on doors, lamp switches, cabinets, wherever as long as they are making some noise on a daily basis.

When you shower, make it more than just a body wash. Have a ritual so that the water can also cleanse the spirit. This happens naturally when we bath, but not as effectively as when we focus the spiritual cleansing.

The way water is a conduit for you, you are a conduit for others and you pick up all that negative energy like a magnet but you are not getting rid of it efficiently. Your spiritual waste treatment plant is clogged and is contaminating it's surroundings.

Self ~ 10 of Earth ~ Gone to Ground -R-

This card expresses the 'homebody' nature of your being.

You did not go out and socialize much and you actually preferred staying at home.

It was only with your Frenchman did you have any real relationship. He enjoyed your quick wit and your 'sneaky' ways of keeping your true nature hidden, all the while spreading the truth. You had complete trust in this man and for that you ever so grateful. It was hard on you, but not very hard for you where happy to have it at all- but part of you longed for him to come and stay with you and not travel all the time.

You hoped that someday, later in life when he could not travel any more that he would 'come home', but he never did.

Positive ~ XXI The Reaper ~ Wild Harvest

You have such an outpouring of love that helped so many people. I would wager that in this current lifetime that you have Chiron in Pisces (those born between 61 and 69 have this placement) This is where the final stages of healing happens and happens on a spiritual level. Relationship troubles? That is due to your life purpose to transmute negative energies of others into positive energy. Turning peoples perspectives around and bring them to a place of spiritual growth. It's not easy to convince a person to change. And for you to absorb all that negativity drains you.

The truth of the light is LOVE, not just a romantic love, but love in all ways. Any suppression and tensions, misdirection and denial comes out in other ways, not so much in the mind, but within the body. This card speaks of nurturing yourself with the same caring and love you give so much of to others. In it all, you are forgetting yourself. You have a spiritual green thumb but your garden has run wild with weeds.

This card continues the dynamics of your past-life relationship. It shows how you had to cope with only having that love around you sporadically. Understanding the way it was to be, yet wanting something more consistent. Wanting your cake and eat it too, but knowing that if you did that, the karmic repercussions would be intense. This has set you up to able to sync yourself to the course of your lives after this one (the past one). Even with romance problems, you are accepting of the outcome and understand that it is for the better. But, at the same time, you long for something lasting. You seek a deep connection, as is 'two hearts that beat as one'. You want that to be a normal everyday thing. In your past life, you worked towards releasing these anxieties and melancholy moods by exploring the ancient sacred places near your home and connecting with the ancestors and star-beings.

Deep mediation was a ritual for you then, and should be now. This is your time to go within and connect with all that is.

Part 3b ~ Work & Possessions

Self ~ XII Silence ~ Visionary Spirit -R-
Who you where, your abilities and all, and the not knowing where you came from, as well as the influx of religion of those times, you where not able to use your abilities to their fullest and this was hard on you. The visions and impressions, and the torments of all the 'what ifs'.
To do other work, was a distraction. Your mind was so busy and full of psychic information that it was hard to work at other jobs. You best success at work was being able to do what you wanted when you wanted. You where not lazy, it was just that you could not be on any regimented schedule. Most of your early adulthood was spent at a Manor, tending to the things that contributed to the good of the whole. I would not be until you got older that you where able to 'live on your own'.

Positive ~ 4 of Air ~ The Nest
The imagery of this card is somewhat reflective of what is seen in the family cards.
It is because of being left with this family, in this community that you where able to learn the things that you did. Life with your mother would have never given you the skills that you gained by growing up and living among these people. One of the things you learned was birthing children. The family you where raised with was a long line of mid-wives.
Obi may have been a bit of a criminal type, but still a wise and honorable man.
If one of the women of his tribe was in need of 'feminine' care or was ready to deliver, he scheduled his rounds to be sure that this family, and in time you, where to ones that tended to the births.

Here is more of that 'being different'. You where so much different and this generally put people off. While they did not feel that you where a threat, you where not crazy, they did feel uncomfortable around you.
Most could not put a finger on why you made them feel uneasy. Maybe it was the midnight singing.
Generally and most times there was always this tensions between you and everyone else.
But you where different and one of the different things about you is that some days, you seemed normal.
This usually came with the days that you would be delivering a baby, or has something serious and important to tend to.
Because everything in your life, thoughts and feelings where such a mess, you did not hold back too much as goes 'how' you lived in the mundane. You where odd and did strange things, as it was how others saw you. You knew you had this eccentric spirit within and you let if fly when you could. But when it came time for one on one interaction by way of duty, you where very sound and serious.
People where just not sure how to take you.

Self ~ 8 of Earth ~ The Trap
Your mother's name, Adina and your father's name, Ian.
Family was not such a great thing for you, yet, you appreciated very much the family that raised you. You where not a planned child nor was your mother married. Because she was without a man, that made her a target and she had to endure attacks now and then.
Your mother was the one more in the 'trap' than you and that is because your mother found you a loving and caring home that could provide better for you than she herself could.
You never knew your mother, but you knew that the family that raised you was not your blood.
This was not an aspect that was hidden from you. It was just not talked about casually. When you or others would ask questions, honest answers where given.

While you where happy with the mundane and you love your 'family' and they loved you back, not knowing who your mother or father where was a tough one for you. You did not know why your parents had abandoned you.
Your mother had been an orphan and did not want you to have to grow up the way that she did.

Positive ~ King of Earth ~ All Father -R-
It was the leader that helped your mother to put you with a good family. Your father would never know what happened to you. The only two people who knew 'everything' was your mother and the leader. You would see the leader and your mother again.
The family that took you in somehow related to Obi, the leader, but the family that raised you never knew that Obi had a hand with this forced adoption.
Your mother and the leader pulled a 'Moses' and left you to be found by this family. Even though he knew the family well, he could not approach them with you. He sure was a crafty guy and I get the feeling that he sometimes wished he could have been your mother and have you as a daughter. But, he could not, he had obligations as well as traditions to uphold.

Negative ~ Page of Air ~ The Trickster
This card expresses the internal and external questions that have no answers, who where your parents, where were they, why did they leave you? What would have happened to you if you had stayed with your parents, what if a different family or no family had taken you.
This is a long list of 'what ifs' and 'will never knows'. No matter how you tried, you could not escape all the questions.
When you grew older and understood that you 'saw' things differently as well as 'knew' things, it puzzled you that you could not find these answers. It nearly drove you crazy not being able to tap into the 'source' and be given the answers.
Because you where different, because of your abilities, the desire to know your blood parents possessed your mind. You wanted to know all the whys and whos that there where.

The rape that impregnated your mother came by way of a 'tribe' of shady characters. Perhaps road bandits or a bad batch of gypsies. She knew that she was to be with child from this encounter and with so much already a burden in her life, within her village towards her, she followed the tribe.
She packed what things she could and when the tribe left, she followed behind. She almost missed their departure for they left in the middle of the night. She did not 'enter' into the tribe and socialize but hung back a bit. She did not hide, she wanted them to know she was following and they knew. But they did not know why....except for one who had a pretty good idea and even that puzzled him as well as made him nervous.
The leader of the tribe was pretty observant and noticed your father's nervousness. The leader wanted confirmation of his instincts and came to your mother during one of the stops about a weeks time into the journey.
When asked, your mother only responded with the fact that she was pregnant with 'that man's' child.
The leader thought she was bluffing, for how could she know this in such a short time.
But being the crafty man he was, she struck a chord in him and he liked your mother. He decided to allow her to travel with them, but made it clear that this was not joining them. He would see in time if she was telling the truth.
Obi, as the leader was known by, instructed all the men to not lay with your mother and told her his instructions as well and if anyone even tried, she was to tell him right away.
As it happened, your mother began to show. The few women of the tribe helped her out with altering your clothing as well as finding their own to give to her.
About 5 to 6 months into the pregnancy a different man of the tribe attacked your mother. She went straight to Obi and that man was left hanging from a tree. This really made your dad nervous. He did not know if your mother had told the leader everything and if he would end up hanging from a tree as well.

Part 2 - Who I Was

Birth ~ 7 of Fire ~ Leaping
You knew who you had been when you where born and when you entered into this past life you where 'bright eyed & bushy tailed' right from the get go.
At first, she thought that perhaps you would not be well due to the stress that she endured during pregnancy. But you came into the world ready to meet the day. She saw something in you.

Your where born in late April and mother knew that you where very special.
Your mother was very superstitious and she took note of the messages that she saw on the day of your birth. She feared for your life and took the steps to ensure that you would be safe and live in peace and happiness as a child.

Attitude ~ Queen of Fire ~ Wild Witch -R-

You came into this life; knowing, always wise beyond your years. You where already an old soul in this past life. There are several cards that speak of this, some we have already seen.

There where things about nature and spirit and the Underworld that where so familiar to you. You where very close to nature and had a connection with animals. The manner in which you carried yourself made others uneasy and they where not quite sure if you where on the side of light or dark. You thought about what other people thought of you a lot and this troubled you. Because of this, you spent most of your life without any real friends or even being able to mingle socially.

Actions ~ 4 of Water ~ Blood Bond
This card is about finding a mate, not fully a romantic mate, but there was some physical relationship but this did not have a big influence. Sex was sporadic. The relationship was more about a companionship based on being like-minded. Someone with whom you could speak with freely.
You knew while young that you would never marry but you would be with one who is a soul-mate, a twin-flame, your other half, the male half of your 'original soul'.
I wonder if you have a brother or son who you are very close to, it is as if they are you and you are them, just in a different body. This person has been with you in many life times, more than most have generally. It is rare for most to find their twin flame in a life time, you have been lucky in this respect. There was an actual ritual of a blood-bond between the two of you.

Undercurrent ~ Knight of Air ~ The Storyteller -R-
This card goes deeper into the mental struggle in this past life. You knew things and yet you lived in a time that if you fully acted upon what you knew, it could be dangerous. You had to hold back. Yet you where creative with the things that you did say. Having your soul-mate with you was a relief.

Having someone that you could 'tell all' to eased the burdens you felt. But the mate of yours was not always around and that was hard on you. He came from France and was a trader. You only saw him as he was passing through.

Death ~ II Wise Woman ~ Dream Weaver -R-
You lived for a long time, you had survived many in the community, you escaped the fire that ran through your area and killed many. You had been in that place and had lived so long that you saw so much change. It was in your nature to look at things 'in the bigger picture' and what you saw saddened you, you saw how a people became misguided and mentally put into a box of thinking. You did your best to keep your words of wisdom alive in the community and not 'alarm' the church.
When you spoke, you spoke in metaphors connected with the everyday and with nature. Your words fed the dreams of the people in your community. You anchored them to true enlightenment through their subconscious as well as the logical side of things. People did listen to you for you made sense, but all was mundane. You could not expand upon and speak of deeper things for they went against a more powerful institution. You where pleased when your time came. Things where about to get worse and you did not want to be there when it happened.

In this past life, your mother named you Maddalena, but you where known by others as Margery, a name you gave yourself as a matter of 'protection'. The life took place in Germany around the end of the 7th century.
This was a tough time for the shifting in religions and traditions. For you, your outlook and attitude, you where more of a 'throw-back' because of your memories of being an oracle in the times before Christ and Christianity.
You understood the essence, but had difficulty with how others perceived and pushed the faith.
This was such a struggle as well and a big part of the confusion. Many times, you thought of taking the town by storm and tell them how IT really is.
It frustrated you for you lived within the 'boundaries' of the church and still was able to act upon the situations where you knew better, while 'hiding' who you really where. You never felt threatened in being called a 'witch' for you where very crafty about how you presented and participated with the people of your community. You played it cool; you and the leaders had a silent understanding. You where able to help those who you trusted and they where loyal to you.

Part 1 ~ Who I Was

Mind ~ 6 of Fire ~ Spiral Dance -R-
In this past life there was much confusion and mental anguish. You spent much time in your head thinking things over and over which only added to the confusion. The confusion is partially due the choices you made while between lives. You mapped the path you would walk and the challenges and lessons you would face as well as the balancing that would come with this life time. This card also speaks of astral travel and mingling with spirits in the spirit world.

Body ~ Page of Water ~ Fortune Teller -R-

The body is mostly water and water is conductive, this card in this position is that of an empath. Very sensitive to the energies and gravitation surrounding you. Your body acts as a dowsing rod.
The page is traditionally a messenger, and with your empathic nature you where able to sense things others could not. It was part of your purpose and destiny to convey the sensations your body received and pass them along to the people that needed the message.

Spirit ~ 3 0f Fire ~ Lamplight -R-
This card in this position carries on the aspect of being the psychic sensitive messenger. You where born to be a guide to others for only you could see past the vale. It was through Spirit that you where guided to the Amanita muscaria that grew in the oak groves near your home. Come late fall, you would go out and collect the mushrooms and then prepare them for use and storage though the year until next years harvest.
There where times when you would use the mushrooms in ritual and on a rare occasion, someone would come to you seeking assistance and if needed, you would take them on a trip into the realms of Spirit with the aid of the Amanita.

With all these cards reversed, this was not an easy path for you but one that was determined before you entered into this life.
Your life prior, it's purpose and mission was very much the same for you where an Oracle, like those of Delphi, if not actually Delphi. While these lives where very much a parallel, the opposition is that as an Oracle in the life before was easy and the people of your village or community took care of you because they honored and respected you. You where a viable part of the community. But in this past life, the one that is the focus of the reading, things where not so kind. Most people treated you as if you where a lunatic babbling nonsense.

All Hallows Eve ~ Dia De Los Muertos ~

October 31st is Halloween, or All Hallows Eve, and known to many pagans as Samhain (pronounced Sow-en).

On November 2nd is Dia De Los Meurtos, translated Day of the Dead and also called All Souls Day.

Halloween has been known as a day of setting out jack o' lanterns, dressing up in costume and collecting candy from door to door and other fun traditions.

Dia De Los Muertos is a day when the living honor the dead with alters and offerings.

Very different traditions but both a bit spooky in their own way.

What is interesting is that these days hover around a time when the veil between the living and the dead, the Otherworld, is very thin.

This is when those who reside on the other side are more likely to be seen in our dimension. We become more sensitive and receptive to those in the spirit world.

For those that celebrate Dia De Los Muerots, they communicate and 'touch' their past loved ones with their offerings and alters.

For those that run around in costume saying 'Trick or Treat', are doing so from an older tradition that served a different purpose than a bag full of candy.

People dress up to hide their true identity so that those spirit that walked among them when the veil is thin will not recognize that they are of the living.

Halloween is not the only time that spirits and loved ones who have passed on can be communicated with or will communicate with the living themselves.

There is a phenomena known as After Death Communication or ADC for short.

Many people from all walk of life will have stories about butterflies and coins, token symbols that seem to be present at times when one has died.

I had a ADC with a deck of tarot cards.

A Bit of History~

It was Spring in the late 1990's and I met a man who was one of my soulmates.

I am one who believes that through living past lives, we have several soulmates that we encounter in a single lifetime.

I had been through some rough relationships and what a bit jaded.

As a matter of self preservation, I came up with a question that I would ask all my suitors.

"What are your intentions?"

I had asked this of my soulmate several times when we first met, his reply always was,

"All Honorable". All the other guys just fumbled over their words.

Shortly after we met and after asking him that question numerous times, I pulled out my tarot cards, the Native American deck.

If some one wants to be with me, they need to know everything about me and if someone is not comfortable with my use of cards and my intuitive ability, then it is not a good match.

I fanned out my tarot cards the way I normally do when I want to feel for a single card by waving my hand over them. When I told him to pick a card he waved his hand back and forth over the cards in the same manner. In my mind I thought, 'wow'. Then he picked a card and turned it over, and big "WOW".

The card's title was "HONOR". He just looked at it and then looked at me with that delightful goofy smile.

The Universe had spoken!

I knew for sure that he was my soulmate. I was also able to relax and enjoy and not be so fearful with a big armored box around my heart.

The ADC~

Fall, same year.

The relationship was short lived for my soulmate was taken away from me by the hands of another.

At that time he was officially just a missing person but I knew that he was dead for I had felt it the moment it happened. It was the saddest, deepest sorrow and emptiness I had ever felt and it came out of nowhere.

One night I was home alone and lonely, missing his company and the sound of his voice. I was wanting to have some sort of a connection with him. Being a sensitive, able to feel ghosts and sometimes connect with the dead, I was a little disappointed with the fact that I was not feeling anything from him. He was my soulmate after all and it puzzled me. So I thought I would break out my tarot deck and use it to make that connection.

I spoke out loud and said, "I have no question for the cards. Just want (name) to talk to me, tell me something for I miss listening to you."

I decided on 5 cards for this pull for we had been born almost exactly 5 days apart. I was born at just before 11pm and he was born just after 11pm 5 days later.

The first card I pulled, "HONOR" all I could do was cry. Cry because he was gone and I missed him, cry because I had made that connection that I so needed. I whispered 'I love you' and continued to pull the cards.

The 2nd card was VII Strength. Pictured on the card is a mountain lion. Both of us have mountain lion as one of our animal totems. The constellation lynx is also depicted on the card.

As a totem, the Mountain Lion protects my sacred space, the place where the heart is kept. The answer to my 'intentions' question was the key to my sacred space- give the wrong answer and you are not invited in. Here he was telling me to be strong, stay connected and listen to my totem animal.

Lynx had meaning as well. Lynx made an appearance out of my Medicine Card deck when I pulled cards just after he disappeared. I asked "What happened to him?" and Lynx showed up and represents secrets. Being a missing person at that time, there was a lot of secrets surrounding his 'situation'.

I felt that here, he was telling me that his death and location was to be a secret for a while and this is why I needed to be strong. It was also telling me that what I felt about his death was indeed very real, that I 'knew' the secret.

The 3rd card I pulled was the 5 of Vessels, which is known as Cups in traditional tarot. The title to this card is Warrior Woman. I would get this card a lot in my personal readings, so much that I called it MY card. This continued the message of being strong and to keep my 'fighting' spirit. That I would be challenged emotionally but possess the strength and will to continue on.

The 4th card was the Maiden of Shields, Pentacles in traditional tarot, and the maiden is equal to a Page. This card is a card that I related to much like the Warrior Woman and also made me aware of one of my past lives. With this card he was telling me that even though the relationship was short, that it was meant to be. We where soulmates in a past life, in this life and will be again in a life to come.

The last card I pulled was XVII The Star. The image upon the card was of Grandmother Spider and her web of fate. This continued the message of the card before, of past lives of soulmates and of fate and what is and meant to be. It is also a card that speaks of dreams and hope. After my bad relationships, he was the one who brought me back to that place of hopes and dreams and he wanted me to know that even though he was gone, that I was not to ever give up hope in finding a love like ours in the future.

The two Major Arcana cards that showed up here are connected through their numbers. Strength is number 8 and the Star, 17, when reduced is also 8.

The shape of the number 8 is used in tarot by turning it on it's side to see it as the well known symbol for Infinity.

Again, this ties to the life cycles that go on after we have left this life-time. I also see it as his way of telling me that he would always be with me even if I could not feel his presence and energy.

More on ADCs

DO YOU SEE THE GHOST? The story goes like this ~ I am hanging out with the neighbors, having a pot luck. One of the neighbors, well, we have some of the same friends and other people we know that we have met independently, this info will be important later....it's a small town thing, ya know. As we sit shooting the breeze, she says, "oh, you have to look at this freaky picture my friend sent me a few hours ago. They where up camping....." she hands me her phone and I instantly spot the ghost. The hair on my arms stands up and my eyes begin to water excessively, as if they where dry, not like I was so very sad. I tend to be a sensitive when it comes to spirits in the Otherworld. My physical reaction did not surprise me that it happened. The hair thing is common, but the watering of the eyes I am still trying to figure out. Back to that small town thing. The people in the picture look familiar to me, but I cannot really tell if it is the people I know. But, I start in with the questions since I am a bit of a ghost magnet. 'Who took the pic? who are those people? where and when did this happen?' It was at a campground a few hours to the northeast of where we live. The picture had been taken within about 24 hours- did not know if it was that night or the night before. She did not know the names of the people in the pic, but the picture came from her friend (my understanding). How it went down at the Campground~ The friend took the picture with her phone, they looked at it that night and when they saw the ghost in the picture, they packed up camp and got out of there. The area they camped in is known for ghosts, so there is something to help validate the truth in this story. I am working on getting names to see if these are the people that I think they are and talk to them to see if they have something to share with me. Update~ A fellow artist friend passed this photo on to a friend of hers. She said that when she looked at the picture that her eyes began to water and her hair stood up. I am curious to know from other sensitives, what was your initial impression? How did your body physically react upon seeing this photo?

Soaking In the Sun

I spent over three years in a damp, foggy and cold environment. The temperature everyday was a brisk 65 degrees.

Being a dragon, I am of the lizard kind and I need my sun. I am also more pacific islander than I am anything else. I want heat! I do not mind the wet so much. I really love the rain but to be in a place that is like winter all year long!? I could not take it anymore.

So I flew south to better weather. I am in a temporary spot but it feels like home. I live just under the landing and take off point of those mechanical winged brethren that spit out fire retardant rather than fire itself.

The critters are doing well.

One of my critters, is really enjoying the warmer weather, for she is also from a tropical climate.

She has been singing and making up new songs. She also feels a bit at home for she can speak the large brown OOPS truck-speak with the back-up beep-beep-beep....those live down the street.

The black demon-spawn feline is trying to figure out how she can get on top of the shop roof. It will be the highest one yet if she makes it. However, in the meantime, she makes her nightly climb up the ladder of my rolling cave and trots back and forth meowing.

Fathead is back on patrol. He had gotten so miserable and depressed with no mountain to guard that he started pulling out his hair. He is now getting it back, with the help of some neem oil added to his shampoo.

The little pooper machine runs the poop out of herself every morning.

As for this dragon, well she is working on a clutch of Dragon Eggs. Once they are close to hatching, they will be available for sale at Dragon's Moon Studio

KIDS, don't try this when you have a intuitive mom

"Mom's have eyes in the back of their heads!"

All to often a mom will know when something is up with their offspring.

One does not have to feel that they are psychic to have the experience of sneaking up on their kid and catching them in the act or waking in the middle of the night in a state of anxiety, knowing that something bad has happened to their child.

However, it can be even more bothersome for the child who has one of those mothers who is in tune with her psychic side....they can't get away with ANYTHING!

Over the past couple of months we have been preparing and packing for a move. It came up that my daughter wanted to go live with her dad for a while. So she packed and cleaned up her room, threw away a lot of stuff and went to live with her father.

A few days after she was gone, I went out to dump some trash and there where several bags of the things my daughter had gotten rid of. As usual, the bags where not placed where they should have been so I had to move them. One bag in particular got my attention. When I picked it up, a voice said to me, 'you will want to go through this one.' I did not have time at that moment to do so and thus stored it in the shed.

A month later and we have the majority of the house empty. We are down to the last of it all and one of the last things was the shed and taking all the garbage to the dump.

I open the shed and there is that bag. I sit down and open it up. There is a box stuffed with 'real' garbage, a couple pairs of clean socks, a few other broken or used up items, but, the real kicker.... a bag full of dirty dishes and utensils.

As much of an irritation this was, I did get a little giggle out of it.

Dirty dishes, let alone in the kids room was one of those major issues in the home.

So much so it came down to; 'never ever are there to be dishes in your room'. To see the utter laziness annoyed me to my core. Then the irritation took a turn.

I was amused how I knew that something interesting and important was in this bag, but never did I expect what I found, at how typical a kid can be and how much fun I am going to have with this one! Some one is going to have to do dishes for a long time when they come back to live with mom!

And you thought you where going to get away with that?!

EARTH DAY - 40 years

Earth Day is special to me in so many ways.

I was 2 years old when they had the first Earth Day. However, Earth Day was 8 years in the making.

My son was 4 days old for his first outing which happened to be Earth Day. The Department of Forestry was giving away little tree starts that where just two branches and a top. We got one, a Spruce tree. It was only about 8 inches high. We put it into a 5 gallon bucket and it lived in that for about 2 years while we tried to figure out where to put it.

Now, 20 years later the tree sits in the front of the house and is over 30 feet tall.

I grew up in an Earth caring family. My father was a Entomologist who specialized in Butterflies of Central and South America.
When I was 12 he started an organization that had a goal of setting up a preservation and research facility in the Amazon Jungle in Ecuador. He was able to purchase parts of the Jungle from the Ecuadorian government.
My father knew back then. From what he had seen in his travels, he knew that the environment and all life upon this planet was in danger.

My father died in 1991 and his organization fell apart. A very sad thing for me.

What happened on Earth Day following his death, I will never forget.

The relationship between my father and I was not the greatest. He harbored a lot of pain, confusion and anger. Which was quite unfortunate for I had more in common with my father than my mother when it came to personal interests. I was very nature and science oriented, unlike my mother who liked the 'girl' things like dolls and the preforming arts.

It was Earth Day and I went out to sit with the boys outside next to my son's Spruce tree that was now about 6 feet tall. It was a beautiful late morning, the air was warmer that usual. I put the baby in the shade of the tree and his big brother was off to play with his new toys about the yard.
I again thought about my father. I thought about how even though he had wronged me that I still love him. He was my dad! As a child, I adored him, as a teen I struggled to understand him, as an adult I learned to forgive him.
I realized that I had always forgiven him.

Something across the meadow caught my attention. At the top of the ravine at the end of the meadow about 300 yards away, where two bucks. They where just standing there looking at me. I felt the magic in the air, something from the Universe or my father I cannot be sure. Nevertheless, I thought it very appropriate for the moment since my father was a Gemini, the Twins, and that there where two bucks, male deer, and that Deer is one of my Totem Animals and Deer represents gentleness.

They stood there for a while, sometimes looking in other directions, but mostly focused on me. When they began to walk down the hill. That is when something to the left, along the tree line at the top of the meadow, was moving.

From within the tall Fir trees moths where 'falling'. These moths had emerged from their cocoons earlier in the morning. They had hung in the trees until their wings unfolded, the warmth that covered the trees stimulated the moths, ready for flight they began to drop from the trees.
The magic continued.

The moths rained down by the hundreds all along the tree line, when they where about to fall into the brush below they took flight and floated up and fluttered in the direction that the bucks had appeared.
This went on for quite a while until the moths falling where just a random trickle now and then.

That was more of a profound moment than the deer. The deer was just a warm up for what was to come.
I had been thinking about was my father and there was the Gemini connection to the two deer and deer my totem.
But the moths!!!
The moth has often been associated with death, rebirth and transformation.
Many people have a 'moth (or butterfly) at a funeral' story and they know it is a message.
The Death card in Tarot also shows a moth.
I knew that this was about my dad, if not influenced by my dad because my dad was an entomologist. He studied things like moths and butterflies and ants.
He even discovered a butterfly.
His work was very ‘Earth Day’ oriented, for him every day was Earth Day. He was the founder of a non-profit organization for the sake of science and nature, flora and fauna and the preservation and study thereof.

It was the first time I felt a positive connection with my father.
Where he was in Spirit in that moment, he knew more about me than I knew about me.
While he was still alive, I learned from my mother that he was clairvoyant.

He never told me about this; it would have been really nice if he had. I would have been able to ask him questions about the things that I was experiencing.
If he did not know then, about just another aspect of how we where alike, he knew now.
He also knew how I was one to see 'the signs', and he knew that I would understand what I had witnessed. He knew I would be able to connect because he knew before I knew that I have a connection to the dead.

As it where, the signs I saw told me. I had focused on my dad and his Spirit responded.
I felt his regrets.
I knew he felt bad for what had happened, I knew that he was sorry.
I knew that he understood my actions towards him as well as appreciated my forgiveness and the love I still held for him and for loving him always even when he had pushed me away.
I could feel his pride in being a grandfather. I knew he was admiring his two grandsons.
And I knew that he loved me.

This dragon has been in cyber-hibernation. Not by choice, but by a technological break down, well not actually a breakdown but a vicious circle.

I cannot log in to my computer and I have never had it set up to have a login.

I know, I know….security this, security that!

My computer is my computer but it is also there for the whole family to use.

I like simple and easy.

Therefore I made it so when you push the on button all one has to do is wait.

No login required.

I have never had any problems with security and my computer at home. I have always told people I meet, my life is an open book- what do you want to know.

I am not so ‘private’ that I need to hide anything from anyone.

If someone in my family, or even a visitor into my home, wants to be snoopy, let them!

They might learn something, somewhere, somehow.

As of this moment, I am still without a computer but that time is coming to an end fairly soon but is yet unknown exactly when that will be.

I could fix my computer right now- but that would mean a loss of all the info from the last 3 weeks that it was working, as well as all my programs.

Once I get all that stuff safe, either in my computer, or onto another computer, then I can take my computer back to ‘fresh out of the box’ condition.

THE EDUCATIONAL PART

The History of Tarot~

Master researcher Stewart Kaplan states that tarot started as a card game in the early 1400's, 'Tarocchi'. However, it would be another 200+ years before tarot would be used as a means of 'parlor fortune-telling'.

These fortunes where very much tongue and cheek. 'In early spring, you will meet an older man who will take you as his bride'.

Another 100+ years later, an archeologist associated the pictorial of the cards to the Egyptian book of the Dead. Several years later the deck was given occult meanings by Eliphas Levi, a master in Kabbalah, who associated the cards to the magical aspects found in the Hebrew alphabet.

This was the beginning of where today's tarot used for divination gets its magical associations.

The first tarot deck published specifically for divination was in 1910. This is the popular Rider Waite Smith deck. Rider being the publisher, Waite being Arthur Waite, a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn and Smith being Pamela Coleman Smith the artist commissioned to create the decks imagery.

Shortly there after, Aleister Crowley had the Thoth deck published. He was also a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn and his artist was also a woman, Lady Frieda Harris.

Where the Waite deck is more European and medieval in look and feel, the Thoth deck has more of an Egyptian/Kabalistic feel to it.

The Tarot Deck~ ‘What defines a Tarot deck?’

There are no hard set rules in tarot other than the structure of the deck itself. The Tarot is a deck of 78 cards which are divided into two Arcanas; the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana.

The Major Arcana is a small deck of 22 cards numbered 0-21. They are considered the Trump cards of the deck. The Minor Arcana is very much like a regular deck of playing cards, having four suits and a set of four court (face) cards. The Minor Arcana are numbered from Ace to 10 and have Page, Knight, Queen & King for the court cards. Some decks will give different names to the court cards and the Trump cards.

Any deck that falls short of this format is not really a tarot deck, with the exception of a Trumps only deck.

The Tarot is just one of many kinds of divination decks in print today.

Myths of Tarot~

Two common areas of misconception are how one gets a tarot deck and who can touch it.

It is often said that you should be given a deck for it to work. I can personally tell you that the process of choosing your deck can be a wonderful experience. However, gifted decks are often found to be special in some way.

There are three different lines of thoughts on people handling tarot decks.

1- ‘Never let anyone touch your deck, their energy will enter the deck and not work for you..’

2- ‘The person getting the reading MUST shuffle and cut the deck to put their energy into the reading.’

3- Energy is energy and it does not matter who touches them.

I agree that there is energy, that is a fact, and energy does transfer from one object to another, that is life. Energy is constantly in motion.

For some readers having the clients shuffle the cards is how they connect to the energy of that person.

Lastly-

‘OH NO- I got the DEATH card! Am I going to die?’

The Death card is often feared because so many think that this card means that they or someone close to them will die. This is rarely the case. If the Death card shows up in a reading, it is usually a card that reflects a message of change. Out with the old and in with the new.

How Tarot Works~

Each individual card has a very specific root meaning to it and while it may be similar to other cards- it is still different.

For example, all Ace cards speak of new beginnings. If the card is a Cups card then it is about some emotional beginning and if it is a Swords card then it is some new way of thinking. The depth of the cards meaning just builds from there.

The finer details are found in the numerous symbols that are seen in each card, as well as how several cards interact with each other.

'How does a person read for another if they are not sitting with them?'

This is again about energy, the collective unconscious, the Anima Mundi which means World Soul. There are many who believe that we are all connected in spirit. It is this place of connectedness that a psychic will reach into and gather the information that is needed. Some use guides to help them through the Ether, others will use runes, tea leaves, what ever.

THE PROMOTIONAL PART

~ Who I am as an Intuitive Reader of Tarot ~

My love of playing cards started when I was very young. I was a challenging player in any game taught to me.

My interest in card reading started when I was 12 and my aunt read for me with a pack of playing cards. It would be a few years before I had an actual Tarot deck and that was over 18 years ago.

When I do readings, all I want is the question or focus for the reading, I can also do a ‘general’ reading where no question is asked and the cards are just drawn and the message from spirit is relayed.

The card images and symbolism triggers my connection to the Anima Mundi. It may be a vision, a smell or some other impression I feel that brings more depth and color to the reading.

I love dragons. And if there is anything I love to paint more than anything, it is the wonderful magical and wise creature that is the dragon.

Dragons can be found in many cultures and play various different rolls.

In the East the dragon is seen as a creature to respect and honor.

Dragons are considered good luck as well.

In ancient times, Dragons where like gods causing natural phenomena such as storms, earthquakes and stellar events.

When there was a solar eclipse, it was said, "The dragon is eating the Sun"

Dragons are known to be shapeshifters, able to hid themselves in any natural landscape.

Some Dragons have wings, some do not. There are 4 legged and 2 legged dragons.

Not all dragons breath fire and require a virgin sacrifice.

Many worlds with dragons can be found in literature.

Pern is one world created by Anne McCaffrey.

On Pern, the dragon help the humans, yes, humans, transplanted from Earth.

These Dragons did breath fire, but only after eating a phosphorous based rock.

Every so many 'years', a planet in Pern's solar system would come close to Pern and send a deadly organic eating organism raining down on Pern.

Dragons and their riders would take flight and scorch the organism in the air before it could land on the fertile farmlands below.

The Stories about Dragons are endless.

Women in White

The other night I was introduced to some women of spirit. There where three of them dressed in white business suits. They where not angles nor where they ghosts. The represented the spirit energy of women who have passed.

Two of the women felt familiar to me and I will need to meditate some to get to know them better.
These women brought with them a message of magic and mystery.
The spoke of studies, teaching and healing.

The also brought with them a man who presented me with something wrapped in velvet, I have yet to see what that item is.

They spoke of a future meeting with another, one who is a bit silly and wild.

It will be interesting to see what happens at time goes by.

I have always been a natural spiritual person.
As a child I looked to the Heavens and especially the Moon.
Her Silver Beauty mystifies me.
I grew up without the religious doctrines of the norm and from that I am grateful that I was able to fully explore the Great Mystery without any pre-fed ideas.
My father left me with quite the legacy. He was a scientist and a psychic-visionary, the latter I was unaware of until after his death. He taught me much about the natural world and fed my interests in science. I wish I had known of his other abilities and skills. I had so much of my own Universal exploration going on while a child I had no idea what it was or that is was ‘different’ or normal as the case may be. If I had known that he was familiar, then I could have talked to him about that as well. Why it was kept a secret I will never know.
For what ever reason, I was left to walk this journey on my own. I have discovered so much and still have so much more to discover.
Those things that feed my head, heart and soul are of the mystical arts & ancient culture/history- Astrology, Alchemy, Symbolism, Tarot, Sacred Geometry, Dreams, Meditation, OBE/Astral travel, Lemuria, Atlantis, mythology, (even the bible), etc. you name it, I have dabbled in it, all in Light & Love of course.
I have taken my Tarot and Astrology skills to a professional level giving others the guidance they need in the moment.
I am currently in the process of writing a 'How To' focused on Astrology and Tarot. But, with all subjects in this area, it extends beyond just Tarot and Astrology and touches on many other aspects both internal and external.

I am my father’s child so I am also a visionary; just as there are the mundane senses of sight, smell, touch, etc. I have all the same senses psychically; some are more prevalent than the others but I am working to change that.
I have an odd connection with death and the dead. I mostly sense spirits or ghosts, but on occasion I can see them. I am not a Medium in the sense that I can communicate directly with them, but I have used tools for communication with those who have passed on.
I have been told that my hands have strong healing energies, but that is something I have yet to explore deeper even though I have tested it out.
I have a natural way with animals. This was recognized by a retired wild animal trainer who ‘made’ a job for me just because of what he saw in me. I am eternally grateful to him for giving me that experience.
It is from the days of my childhood and young adult that I was shown many things by the Spirit and at the time I did not know what it meant. I had not understood why I had such a distaste for the government as a child, what reason would a child have to feel that way? It was because of what I was shown. I suppose that is the reason why I did not like history lessons or social studies.
As I grew older and watched the events of the world unfold, I had many a jaw dropping moment when I realized that I had been shown these things so long ago. That is when all the pieces began to fall into place and I started to feel more ‘put together’ and had a clearer understanding of who and what I am in this world.
